Don't you mean MyWahmSpace.com?
Sorry! I am so kidding but so couldn't resist! LOL!
In all honesty, MySpace is something I just never got into. When I first started thinking about it, I was told that it was against their TOS to "promote a business" there.
Whether or not this is true - I couldn't begin to say. What I can say is if it's is against the TOS - then I know a whole bunch of people who are going against the TOS, lol! I've heard of a LOT of people that do it just like you are. So who knows, maybe it's since changed.
Anyway ... another thing reason I didn't go there was because at the time, I was on dial-up and some of those pages just took an insane amount of time for me to load.
I don't do much online that doesn't revolve around my business. I just didn't have time to "wait" at the time.
And since then, we've created MyWahmSpace.com so yeah, again ... I just don't have the time to go there.
Okay, let me say this differently ... I don't take the time. Why? Because I know me. I KNOW I will get "addicted" to a site like that and I would spend entirely too much time - that I don't have - there.
Ha, do ya wish you hadn't asked me after that long-winded explanation?!?
But a little more seriously ... Tara, I'd *love* to see you over at MyWahmSpace.com!! (Ya know I had to say that, didn't ya?)
Take care,
Anita
P.S. Way off topic here but how are things down there now? Things kind of back to normal since the black out yet?
AND ... we need to set up a "Kudos" section here but girl - you have one GREAT customer service team with AMM! Lola needs a little pat on the back _________________

YES, I DO! And so does Anita, she just doesn't participate in our myspace page.
I have my personal page that was honestly started so I can keep up to date with my kids pages and their friends. I also have some friends on there and bands I like, etc. I've only recently added any of my sites to that.
But I did open a page when we did the grand opening of My WAHM Space because I knew this was the crowd we wanted to attract over. This has been huge for us. EVERY time I spend time over at our site I see a new subscriber. UMM, come to think of it, maybe that statement right there should lead me to jump on there once a day. Just so hard to get over there as well.
But just like our My WAHM Space I need to market more. I need to get more blog posts up and use the bulletin feature. Bulletins send out to all the people in your friends list. So if I'm having a sale or special, then I can hit a bulletin and know that those that may have been interested in my business will get that info.

As a matter of fact, now that I think about it. I think I actually have an account there. I think I signed up one day but never went back
Gee, I couldn't even tell ou where my page was, rofl!

You are SOOO right Val! And I see more and more evidence/proof supporting this every single day!
I was just talking about MWS on another board the other day. Long story short, it was in reply to a question something like "are you earning money from your site" or something like that. She also mentioned that she wanted to know what our sites were.
Well, I went down through the list, a wahm resource site - I make money with this one this way, a direct sales site - I make money this way with this site yadda, yadda, yadda. Well then the conversation kind of turned into something like "how you build it". And I'll tell ya, I had to say for my "social networking site" ... it kind of builds itself.
Yes, of course we do some advertising/marketing ... but for as large as that site has grown in that little time ... yeah, it builds itself through our members, am I right Val? Same way MySpace grew so big. Yeah, that's a good thing with social networking!

Hi Anita
yes Lola and Roxanne both ROCK!
They know they have to or they'll be fired! LOL
as far as things back to normal after last weeks black out in the "wonderful" state of FL, apparently they're back to normal and the black out was blamed on human error... geeeee that makes it all the better to have over 6 million people w/o power for the better part of a business day... think I can charge FP&L for lost revenue during that time, like they charge a late fee if you pay late??? hmmmmmmmmmmm
I really don't have time to join mywahmspace, I know or least I think some of the Affordable Mineral Makeup reps are there...
I'm busy with the businesses and everything else, but I'll send the link to the reps and get more of them over there

Umm, sure, yeah, builds itself. LMAO Ask me that again at the end of the year after I maybe forget how much work we have and are putting into it!
HMM, guess I could put together a bunch of stuff and have my VA do it. That is something I pay them for right? To do all the things I don't have time to? _________________ Val

Yeah MS can get tiring with that. I hate having to go and check out the one's that want to be added as friends. I probably only add 1/3 of them. Most of them are the "get rich quick" type biz opps. Who wants to be bombarded with info from them?
So far they haven't come over to MWS and been posting around. I'm sure it will happen, but I'm ready for it. You spam and annoy people, you will be deleted, banned, IP address banned, email addy banned. No tolerence for the damn spammers anymore. _________________ Val

True to that
right now it's working in my favor with the 'idiot' men on MS though!
men are soooo easy to read...
as soon as ya word something just right you know they're gonna be sending PM"s like crazy and wanting to be your friend.. and sure enough they did w/the new one I have but it worked
I have lots of leads for cars! LOL
men..so easy! LOL

Oh yeah, without a doubt - no exceptions! lol! There's way too many options available there to promote their businesses - if they still feel the need to spam - well then we don't them there!
Funny enough ... you all made me curious and I dug through my email till I found my account. All this talk about it ... I had to. I have hardly anything at all on there. lol!
And even funnier ... the same day I logged into my account, I received a message from an old school mate that I haven't seen in years! Well, let's put it this way ... she didn't even know I had a second child and he's 7 1/2. It was very cool to chat with her!
And one more note .... does anyone have any suggestions about this? I can't log into my account from home. Let's say I just go to the home page, and log in ... it just goes straight back to the log in page like I never entered anything. I thought maybe I was goofing the password so I made double sure I had the correct password - wasn't that. And see I can log into it at my computer at work?? Any suggestions?
Take care,

Hmm ... I guess I'm just going to have to contact my "customer service" or something along those lines to see if they have any suggestions. However, not sure they'll be able to help me. I'm sure it has something to do w/ the settings on my computer. As a matter of fact, I'm almost positive it is, lol!
Yep, got your PM and I got Lola's two emails. I'll be fininshing my order this morning
Take care,

I've never gotten into MySpace.... not sure why, just didn't feel it was my cup of tea... However I do monitor both of my girl's sites.... they know that I pop in often to read what they've written and what their friends have written, so they're always careful as to what they say
I do have a mywahmspace, but I don't get over there as much as I should

I have a page on myspace.com. But one of the things I find most annoying are the songs that people download to their profile. It takes too long to open their pages - and then you have to hunt for the controls to stop their choice of music.
Another thing I've found is that a lot of people just want to sway you over to their product and/or company. They really don't want to get to know you - they just pretend - and try to dangle that carrot - but if you stick to anything other than what their true purpose is - you never hear back.
As far as myWAHMspace.com - there is a greater comfort level, as you do not permit the spamming - and most people here like that. I can find more needed information from this forum than any other forum that I participate it. This is a definite RESOURCE for me. I feel SAFE here. I would do business with myWAHMspace.com people before myspace.com people any day!
I thank you for that. _________________ Joan Bailey
