When your company changes over to a new catalog...
Do you send all of your past customers a new catalog automatically or do you send out a email or postcard mailing letting them know new catalogs are out and they can request one from you if they are interested?
How do you handle it when you switch over to a new catalog? _________________ Shelly

Send out postcards letting them know they can be the first to hold a party with the new catalog. Then those that want a new catalog will definitely contact me as well.
I've done the sending out catalogs to past customers before and was out too much money for the orders it brought in. _________________ Val

I agree Val & Shelly ... it's too costly to send out full-sized catalogs to all past customers. Going w/ the post card way, you're sure to get only those who are seriously interested.
Take care,

I agree also. Sending your new catalog to all of your customers is a costly thing to do. Especially to your "customers" who spent little to zero money. I send out catalogs to my frequent customers. I send out e-mails to past hostess telling them they can be the first to hold a party featuring new items and a new catalogs. I have also held a hostess appreciation catalog release mystery hostess party. Offering x amount of tickets for attending, purchasing, booking, bringing friends, and so on. _________________ "What's in your Brown Bag?"

Another thing I like about Post cards is ... you never know who you might pick up along the way. How many hands do those post cards go through before it gets to the recipient? No, by law - they're NOT allowed to read mail. However, if you have a brightly-colored post card w/ a catchy tag line right on the front (AND your website) how can mail handlers NOT notice
And if you anyone is looking into a post card campaign. I highly recommend Vista Print. I've gotten post cards through them several times and have been very satisfied with the quality. Not to mention, VP has sales on a very regular basis. I'm not sure if I've ever paid full price for anything from them - and most of the times, I pay nothing more than just the shipping cost OR a couple dollars for upgrades that were offered on a free product. Yes, I *love* Vista Print, lol!
