We got a letter yesterday telling us that Becca was awarded a scholarship from the VFW!!!! Four students in the entire county were chosen, and she was one of them! I guess those letters we worked on for days paid off! lol! She's applied for quite a few others too, but this is the first one we've heard from. Some of them tell us outright that we won't know if she got them until graduation night.... but at least we got one so far!!! We're very happy with that!
Then, we got a letter today from the school telling us that she's being awarded another Academic Letter this year, so we get to attend the Awards banquet at the end of the month... Yeah!
I'm so proud of her, I could bust!
Oh yeah, and next Friday is the Prom... she got her dress about a month ago and it was pretty snug... she was afraid to sit down! I had to pull the back together so that it could zipper. So she's been working like crazy to lose a few more pounds to make it fit better. She tried it on last night, and it fits perfectly!!!! I zipped it right up!!! She looks gorgeous!!!!
Since January 2007, she has lost a total of 60 pounds!!!! She is now about 10 pounds away from her goal weight!!!!
Believe me, I'll be posting pictures next Friday of her in her prom dress! And graduation the week after, and who knows what else. LOL
Just thought I'd share!
