This week's article is about why it's so important to have a list. Although it's equally important to grow your list properly. We've had a lot of problems lately with emails being added to lists without permission, and some pretty sneaky techniques (see our blog post titled "Follow the Rules").

Let's face it. Direct sales reps have more competition than anyone else. Not only do you have to convince people of your product, you have to convince them your the best rep too! Quite a hard tast sometimes.
Well here's a secret that will put you way ahead of the game - the money is in the list. Just some of the benefits of having your own personal list:
Qualified Leads
Your always looking for leads right? What if you could email them all the time, and they WANTED to hear what you had to say? That's that what a targeted list is. Your own personal stash of qualified leads.
Increased Sales
Want to get the word out about a new promotion your company is having? You can do it before the rest of the reps have even started promoting. Just mail your list of targeted customers, and the sales come rolling in. Remember, they already want to know what's on sale!
Personal Level
Instead of being "just another rep", having your own list gives your customers the chance to see you are a real person. Put some personality in your newsletter, and you'll be building a life-long customer base.
