Do you use forums correctly to bring traffic to your site?

Quick posts that just say I agree or like that idea are not likely to get you traffic.

Joining forums and contributing in some way is what gets you the links and clicks that will be used. If you are asking real questions, those too will be more likely to bring you traffic. Don't think that just because you are not the "expert" you can't post.

If you have questions we welcome you to post to our many specific forums here or just on the general forums for all to see. This site is to share information and with all of our members we have a ton of info to share.

And those "quickie replies" - you're not getting "past anyone". Lots of people can tell exactly what you're doing. When you jump in on a busy community that is pretty "tight nit" ... these folks are not going to pay a bit of attention to you.

If you actually attempt to become a part of the group - you WILL be welcomed w/ open arms. But you must make the attempt first Wink

And if you agree or disagree - tell us why Very Happy

The key to networking and using forums is to establish and build relationships.

People do business with people they know, like and trust.

Trying to sell people with what I call "drive by marketing" simply does not work any more.

People don't want to be sold to, they want to be helped and appreciated.

I absolutely agree - it's being an active part of the community that helps people become familiar with you. And as someone who was once very active, and now admits I've been lagging way behind here - I realize I can't just jump into conversations and expect that anyone who doesn't know me is going to care about what I have to contribute.

Same goes for just posting in the Introduction forum and welcoming all of the new members - but not doing anything else. Makes you look like a Vulture who is just waiting to pounce on all the newbies with your links! Not gonna necessarily get you traffic! Newbies may not know, but those who are the active crowd know who is doing it - esp. not seeing them anywhere else on the fourms.

There are so many forums it can be overwhelming to know where to contribute -but making yourself visible will make you known within this, or any community for that matter. thus people are more apt to click on a link in your signature, etc. bringing the traffic in a much more unsolicited way!

Oh Lauren - you reminded me of a huge pet peeve of mine.

As a forum owner that tries to read almost every post ... this drives me crazy. It irritates me so much to see 5 "Welcome" posts to new members from the same person and then an advertisement. UGH! Drives me nuts! And it's usually from someone who you don't see doing anything BUT that.

And the thing here is most members notice this! You know that little link that says "Posts since your last visit" A lot of members use this. So, what do they see? They see 5 welcome messages from the same member and then an advertisement. And being active members themselves, they KNOW this person doesn't usually participate in any other threads!

So the folks that are doing this ... they're NOT pulling the wool over anybody's eyes!

Opportunities these days are looking for investments at any level. A simple loan can be taken to finance the money for the investment. One of the better options out there is stock trading, the margins are high and the business is successful. Another one is real estate investment, for which one can get a mortgage refinance services to get a lower interest rate loan. Other small opportunities are providing insurances like cheap car insurance or supplying services in the finance sector like merchant credit services.
