| What are some of your food indulgences? I have a crazy sweet tooth and can eat Cool Whip straight from the container when I have it. Not all at once....just scoop some out with a spoon. Just tried the chocolate flavor and love it. Does anyone else eat it straight from the freezer? |

Not cool whip, but at least that's not too bad calorie wise. lol
I get to eat my soy ice cream straight from the container because no one in the house will touch it. WOOHOO, that feels like such a sin. I love it!
But my indulgence is sweet-n-sour. If it wasn't so fattening I would eat it all day long every day. _________________ Val

Caramel Apple Pie ... Mmmm ... and I don't get it that often because there's only one store that I know of that sells it and the store is about an hour away. It's one of those "membership warehouse stores". It's called Costcos. Anyway this pie is to die for!
And about eating things "straight from the container". My weakness is marshmallow creme. And hey, there's nothing wrong if you only dip once, right? Other than that - you just get another spoon! And another ... and another ... and ...

BusyMomma, I still have a Cool Whip tub in the freezer. I should look at how many it serves and add the calores. I know its only 25 calores per serving. I love soy ice cream. I think the one I had was called Soy Dream. Was thinking about grabbing some today.
Anita, have you tried making your own Caramel Apple Pie? Here is a recipe for Caramel Apple Sundae Pie
3/4 cup caramel ice cream topping, divided
Nilla Crumb Crust
1 qt. (4 cups) vanilla ice cream, softened
2 medium apples, peeled, cored and coarsely chopped
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
2 Tbsp. firmly packed light brown sugar
DRIZZLE 1/2 cup of the caramel topping evenly onto bottom of prepared crust. Top with scoops of ice cream. Freeze 4 hours or until ready to serve.
COOK apples in butter and sugar in large skillet on medium heat 5 min. or until apples are tender, stirring frequently. Cool.
SPOON apples over ice cream; drizzle with remaining 1/4 cup topping just before serving. Cover and store leftover pie in freezer.
Got the recipe from coolwhip.com There is a Caramel Apple Sundae Tart too. I will add a signature. I have to think of something good. I have a quote from a poem I could use. Have to find it first. |

That's what is in the freezer right now. Chocolate peanut butter to be exact. _________________ Val

Do you have a business?

Patty my dear, she said indulgence - not necessity - but we'll forgive you. I can totally see how you would be confused. Hmm ... we could call chocolate a Necessary Indulgence??

Excuse the dumb one but ... does Soy have any milk/dairy in it? Or is the soy completely different from the milk/dairy portion?
The reason I'm asking is because of my crohns - I don't get to indulge in ice cream that often - although I love it so. Ice cream is one thing that bothers me so much that I do stay away from it as much as possible. Now, I DO eat it ... but I do pay for it every time. So, if I'm feeling really good for a while, I'll have some. Actually, like right. I've been feeling so well lately that I actually think I'm in a remission right now - woo hoo!!
But, if the soy takes the dairy part away - maybe I need to give it a try as well?
Take care,

Please don't tell me that I haven't emailed you about my super bad dairy allergy? There is no way I couldn't have. It's so bad I can barely touch the stuff anymore. Can't eat a single speck of the stuff.
So NO, it has NO DAIRY at all. Honestly it's not bad. But that is because I have no choice if I want anything even close to ice cream. lol _________________ Val

YES! You did! I'm sorry! I completely forgot that it was dairy that you said you were allergic too!! I knew you had said you were very allergic to something and that it has gotten worse but totally forgot what it was.
I'm going to have to give Soy Ice Cream a try!
Take care,

Oh gosh, food indulgence would be 1 tbsp of Skippy creamy peanut butter, 1 tbsp chocolate syrup (heat it up in the microwave and stir together), then add a serving of ice cream (mint, chocolate peanut butter, whatever really LOL) and one small brownie and OH MY GOODNESS, the bomb!
My other indulgence is Smoothie Saturday. I get a peanut butter protein smoothie at the gym every Saturday _________________ ~Angie~

Decaf? What's that? I'm from Seattle we don't believe in that. But hmm, sounds good for breakfast tomorrow with my morning coffee and soy ice cream. So not kidding! Start the calories early and burn them off! _________________ Val

You are funny Val:)
But yeah, decaf for me after 5pm. Otherwise, i'd be up all night punching my keyboard and be wasted in the morning.
I prefer to have a good night sleep and wake up early to start the day!
So try it my friend, skip the decaf but coffee and icecream... da best _________________ www.ishopathome.ca

I'm just as bad, no caffeine after 3 or 4 unless I'm going to hit a good workout. And even then I stayed up until 2:30 this morning. lol My sleep patterns are horrible. Got up at 6:30 and I'm totally ready for a nap now at 8 _________________ Val

Okay, sorry gals but I have never been an ice cream out of the container person...in fact ice cream can get so old around here I have to throw it out.
One thing I can really get in the mood for is good old fashioned popcorn (from my popper) and a beer. Nothing like that for an evening snack sometimes although I do like some sweets. _________________ Diane St James
