Telecommute: To work at home using a computer connected to the network of one's employer.

This is a definition I found in one of the online dictionaries. I think when people say they want to work at home, one of the first things they have to consider is whether they want to work for an employer (telecommuting)or work for themselves (business ownership).

I'd like to hear about anyone's experiences in telecommuting-advantages/disadvantages, etc. How did you find your telecommuting job? Anyone have any good resources? Please share!

I am looking for a telecommuting job. I home school my son and need to be home to do his lessons with him...

I recently found the need for a telecommuting job. It is a harder thing to look for than a regular job. Have you tried a search online? I am in the process. There are a few listings and job sites that have telecommuting listings. Just beware, and do not pay a fee to look for a job.

I also homeschool my 2 children, and recently found myself in a desperate financial situation. If I find anything I will post here about it.

By the way, what is your direct sales biz?
