I am looking for help with deciding on the best time and place to hold an online party. I need to get some traffic through!

Hi Stephanie,

This is a topic we'll be spending some time on again shortly, but here's some information I can give you right now.

Time: I've always found evenings to be the best, since it seems to be around the time everyone is putting kids in bed and getting some free time. Anywhere around 7-9pm EST usually works well. I tend to plan mine around 8pm EST, sometimes earlier.

Location: Well, that's not really an issue. There's TONS of chat rooms open for chats, including our's: http://www.momchats.com (Excuse the mess, we're about to revamp the site a bit).

Advertising: I can't stress this enough - everyone needs some type of customer list or newsletter. Doesn't matter what business you are in, if you have no way to collect potential customers you are losing out on sales. Plus with a list you can promote your party and have a much better response. Wink

If you don't have a list yet, I suggest getting started on that. You can still have your party though, and there are many places to advertise online. Don't forget to invite all friends and family!

Kara gave you a great resource to help get you going. This seems to be a topic that's popping up again all over the place, lol. As a matter of fact, I've been surveying/polling different boards ... apparently online parties aren't 'going out' as much as I thought they were! Go figure!
