I have done a handful of online parties. I would like to hear from others who do the same and to see if you find it successful and worth your time? Do you really get sales or is it more recruits? _________________ Making a Difference In Children's Lives by Celebrating Art and Story

I have only done one online party, so I can't really compare. But, it was with a site that does a ton of them, so I thought it would be big. I didn't sell a darn thing. But I did learn a lot from doing it. And I figure if I get my name out there, then it's worth $5-$15 and an hour of my time. Unfortunately it was more of my time with this one.
Find out ahead of time where they are going to advertise. Make them tell you. Make sure they have good advertising for you to use as well.
I think we had a post just a bit ago that talked about this. I'll try to remember to search for it. But it's a big topic right now since we will be coming out of the summer lull soon. _________________ Val

I do 2 different types of online Parties.
#1. I already have a host and hold the party in a chat room that I own, so I just email the invites and specials along with party time and the chat link...works out well.
#2. I do online vendor fair shows but ONLY a few a year. I am very particular on which sites I do them with. Way too often people are getting ripped off, new party sites are popping up every where and taking your hard earned money and they are NOT promoting the event or bring in customers...it ends up being vendor buying from vendor if you get any orders at all.
You want to look for a site that has a good reputation. One that promotes the event online and offline and one that requires you to help advertise the event too.
This is a subject I am very familiar with and have a lot of experience in since my group holds 3-4 online vendor events a year.
Stay away from sites that do them weekly.
