Alright ladies, it's past time to get our goals in order. Start thinking about your business and where you want to be next year. We will go through steps to map it out starting next week.

That reminds me I need to review my goals that I set for myself this year. Didn't keep up with them as closely as I wanted to and many went through revisions!
Won't be able to fully get it into gear until next week. We have our annual big blast New Years Eve party-and this year the NFL decided to add the Bears into the mix. You know what'll be on all the TVs here on Sunday night! GO BEARS!
So, yes-I am psyched for 2007-and all that it holds! Does anyone else have big plans for their business next year??

I guess my one big goal for 2007 is focus. I'm trying not to start new projects, or at least things that can't be directly tied into something else. I have some ideas for other websites, but I'm holding off until I've come to the complete "end of the line" for the others. Which of course, there's really never an "end", but rather get the sites to a point where I really do not have to do anything to see residual income.
I do have two new small projects I'm planning for 2007 - the link exchange directory/group and another which I'm keeping under my hat until I'm sure it's something I'm going to run with.
The link exchange deal will tie in directly with my other businesses, so nothing really "new", but rather a solid focus on what I'm already doing.
The other new project I'm going to release later (that is, if I decide to run with it), will be tied in to Direct Sales Helpers. While I'll probably decide to put it on it's own website, it will most likely be promoted along side of DSH and be somewhat of an "add on" to that site.
I have other plans in my head for 2007 which haven't been put down on paper yet. All of them are focused on ideas specific for sites I've already got though.
Should be a very interesting year!

That's the big one I need to work on! Well, between focus and organization.
Some rambling thoughts for the new year ....
I'm getting to the point where I want to have just a couple of websites and that's it. I "cleaned house" not too long ago and sold a handful of things sitting around that I didn't have much time to work on like I should. It's time to do that again but I only have a couple left that I want to re-evaluate.
I want to start writing more again. I enjoy it so much but just haven't had the time (or should I say haven't taken the time) to do it.
This year I'm going to start automating a lot more things. I guess I was always afraid of loosing that "personal touch" but there are so many things that I am doing by hand that really shouldn't need to be without loosing that personal touch.
Along with automating things, I'm also going to start outsourcing some other work so I can concentrate on the things I want to do.
(Please forgive me as I ramble along ... I've been sick all this week but I'm also not sleeping so I've have had lots of time to think, lol. Time to get it down so I can come back!!)
MommysHelperOnline.com has grown so big, the traffic has been great, my adsense and advertising income has been better than ever. Soooo, stop building more sites and let the really good one I have grow, right?
Side Note: Not that there is anything wrong with building a bunch of sites!! Please don't get that impression. I personally don't have the time that I used to. I get all these great ideas but don't have the time to promote as I should.
And that side note brings me to another thought. I'm never going to give up building more websites. I have way too many ideas and enjoy web design too much to not do anything with that ... so, I'll probably continue building more but selling (Nice little addition to my income.)
I need to start working on one project at a time. This is so hard for me because when I have an idea ... I have to go with it NOW. Then I end up with a whole bunch of little projects started with nothing finished!!
Perfect examples ...
I wanted to revamp my Direct Sales Company Directory and I did. For the most part it IS done. There are a few minor things I want to change BUT, I'm still sitting here doing everything myself (even though I have a VA ready and willing) simply because I haven't taken the time to finish the little stuff OR build my renewal page. And you know what? I bet if I actually sat down and just DID it ... It might take me an hour or so to finish?!? I started this back in November.
I have a great idea for a free ebook to write. LOL till I'm done, I probably SHOULD be charging for it however, I feel pretty confident that the viral effect will go into full force here and there are quite a few affiliate links within the book. Guess when I started this? Back in September!!
I have another book for DirectSalesHelpers.com that's probably all but done except adding a few things here and there ... and dang, I don't even know when I started that one!?!? 
So after that long ramble ... Organization, Focus, Automation and Outsourcing is HIGH on my list for 2007!!
Sorry you asked yet??

Kara, I just re-read your post ... and it looks like we're both in the same boat! ROFL! No wonder we end up with so many websites!! Maybe we need to find new goal partners for ourselves!! LOL!

I just read through this and realized I didn't really put my goals down.
As Anita said, I have to focus. I do exactly what she does. I have 1 site not finished, 3 domain names I just bought and I'm trying to find templates for those sites. Let alone the fact that I have written up most of the pages for them in notebooks. I love to start new projects. I get it from my Dad, so at least I have someone to blame.
My main goal is to focus on my newsletters. I have dates set that they have to go out now and I've done well the last 2 months of meeting those. If I don't keep in contact with my subscribers, then I'm wasting a valuable resource.
I did the redesign of Little Scrapbook Shop last year. Now it's time to really focus hard on getting more articles up. This year I will redo busy momma wellness so it is more user friendly. It just feels to overwhelming to me right now.
Organization is key for me and something I'm really working on. Since half of my business is offline now as I do personal training, I have to have everything in order. I am happy to report that I cleaned my desk about a month ago and it is still usable. Barely any piles of stuff and they are short stacks. This is huge for me.
Wasting time on the computer and prioritizing what I do also needs to happen. I have weeded out many boards and I also need to weed out newsletters. I have found that if I prioritize my list I will get more done.
Those are my over all goals. We will get much more specific now. SO everyone may want to print out what they wrote so they can go over it in future posts!

Decisions, focus, organization and making money! In a nutshell that's where my goals are for this year.
1. Decisions-market the product? or the biz opps. with my ds companies
-I'm blowing new wind into my sales for TLC. The Lifetimez digital scrapbooking software that we are selling has me so excited! I want everyone to know about it! It also fits right in with everything that I like to do online!
-I've got a new site and blog with Patty Gale Designs. Must use them to my advantage!
2. Focus-like everyone else here, I have the dreaded domain name disease! I've got a couple that are just getting developed and of course my main site Mom's Online Retreat. Too much detail to go into here, now.
3. Organization-the ongoing struggle!
4. Making money-who doesn't have that goal???
I'll come back and add more-my youngest is due to get up here any minute now! Here's to a prosperous 2007! Better go check out what I have to do for homework!

Well I went through my revamped goals as well, but I wanted to reply to my general goals I had first posted as well. So here they are:

This 1 and 3 stuff is piddly compaired to what I have now. I posted in my revamp that I do honestly give up on the NOT starting new projects. But alas, I am getting much better at starting them and getting them done before jumping to far into the next one.

This one is still a problem and I believe it is time to hire a VA to take care of it. I usually get them written, but not posted to the lists.

Unless this sells soon, Little Scrapbook Shop will take a giant change of direction in Jan.

Still quite organized with my biz stuff. The desk has a major pile on it that needs to be gone through, but all in all it isn't bad.

I need to go through newsletters again. Some of the lists I am on are actually sending me the same emails as others, so those need to be gone through and weeded out. I am getting better at prioritizing and that is all I can do, get better all the time.
