Hey all!I do not own my on affiliate program but I did join one and was wondering how can I get more people to visit my site and to see what the store I'm affiliated with has to offer?Any suggestions or ideas will be greatly appericated.Also what are some good ways to get my site out there? Smile

Glad you jumped right in with some discussion.

First suggestion is to get your site in your signature. You can do that by clicking profile above and editing it. I'm not sure if you know bbcode or not. But just use [] brackets instead of <>. Then to make a link it would be url=http://yoururl.com and then end code of /url. All in those brackets of course. Clear as mud? You can pm or email me if you have any questions. Laughing

Do you have a blog or newsletter set up yet? Both are a good way to get new visitors and keep them. You can blog about new fashions maybe? Since you use bravenet you can just log into your account and add both for free to your account. A better blog program would be www.blogger.com though.

When joining message boards it is always a good idea to be active such as you have on here already. You will get more clicks to your website if you are offering good information or asking real questions. Building trust is key to sales.

As soon as you can you are going to want to switch to paid hosting. I know you are an affiliate and money is probably tight, but free sites don't look trustworthy. Wink

Just a few suggestions. I'm sure others will get on here to offer more. lolol

I wasn't even finished with my blog when someone added me to theirs.I know how important it is to be active on a message board because I run my own board called Proud Moms and Expecting Moms!I do look forward to being a member of this site and hope to make some new friends! Very Happy

Although it looks like Val has been taking very good care of you sharing some excellent advice! And good for you for taking the advice and running with it!! I've seen too many people who ask for advice but don't do anything but give excuses as to why they can't do things ... not you! Fantastic!

I did want to touch on what Val said about the hosting. She's also very right about this. I can tell you from experience, that folks don't like to buy from a website with free webhosting. People just don't trust free hosts as much and they tend to think that if you're not serious enough to put a little bit of money into your business ... how serious can you be? Then you tend to look unreliable. So defintely put some serious thought into that. And don't forget ... it doesn't cost as much as it used to host a website.
