K, as I posted life changes and we need to adapt with it. My goals weren't even close to detailed enough to hold me accountable. So I have gone through and gotten specific. Below are the goals that I'm willing to share with the internet world.
Newsletters
*BMW and LSS out on the 5th of each month
*Momchats out weekly every Wed. night
Blogs
*Daily posts
*Each blog gets 2 posts a week minimum
Focusing on what I have already built
*NO NEW SITES BUILT UNTIL ALL 4 OF MY CURRENT SITES ARE "COMPLETED"! This is a big one I need to stick to.
Completed in this case will mean:
BMW
- changed over to xsitepro
-ebooks live
-shopping section completed
-blog template designed to coordinate
-all of my articles put on that are in my notebooks
LSS
-changed over to xsitepro
-articles from my notebook put up
-digital kits loaded
-blog template designed to coordinate
-gallery designed to match
workingwahm
-header designed
-direct sales pages completed
-blog template to match new design
Mom Chat's
-header to coordinate w/ WW
-10 more articles up
-some other stuff that is on my list but not here
Advertising
*link exchanges with 3 sites every month
*events planned
*put sites in 2 directories a month
*outside advertising set in stone and paid for ahead of time for the year
Organization
*load both my checking accounts in Quicken
*clean out file cabinet
*set up a system for paying my bills-spread sheet or something
Wasting time online
*weed out some more newsletters
*keep this list posted and by my computer at all times!
This is more like it. These are things I can check off my list as I go. So grab your prior list and revamp if needed. [/b] _________________ Val

Oh goodness I have needed to go over this again and see what I'm doing and not even coming close to doing. I will also go hit a few of the other goals posts to get you all back here. lol
Newsletters
*BMW and LSS out on the 5th of each month
*Momchats out weekly every Wed. night
(Anita don't hit me! I think this is something I need to VA out honestly. I have put it together some months and it never goes out. But momchats is out consistantly thanks to my partner Lauren. She rocks!)
Blogs
*Daily posts
*Each blog gets 2 posts a week minimum
(this has happened most weeks. The last two weeks have been a little crazy with getting the final touches done on My WAHM Space. I came up with a system though and I now blog offline when I get a chance at work and just copy/paste the post into WP when I get online. Works wonders)
Focusing on what I have already built(well this is great in theory, but impossible! I do give up on the no building new sites. I know my failings and this is one of them. But it's to the benefit of many people that it is a failing. )
*NO NEW SITES BUILT UNTIL ALL 4 OF MY CURRENT SITES ARE "COMPLETED"! This is a big one I need to stick to.
Completed in this case will mean:
BMW
- changed over to xsitepro (didn't workout for me)
-ebooks live (still needed)
-shopping section completed (when is something ever completed? lol I do have it up)
-blog template designed to coordinate (done, but am not liking, so I'm redoing it again right now)
-all of my articles put on that are in my notebooks (almost done!)
LSS
-changed over to xsitepro (again, didn't work for me)
-articles from my notebook put up (most are)
-digital kits loaded (haven't even started)
-blog template designed to coordinate
-gallery designed to match (done)
workingwahm
-header designed (done)
-direct sales pages completed
-blog template to match new design (found a great free template and converted the entire site to WP, so done)
Mom Chat's
-header to coordinate w/ WW (done)
-10 more articles up (done)
-some other stuff that is on my list but not here (done)
Advertising
*link exchanges with 3 sites every month
*events planned
*put sites in 2 directories a month
*outside advertising set in stone and paid for ahead of time for the year
(oh so lacking in this area)
Organization
*load both my checking accounts in Quicken
*clean out file cabinet (done at least once)
*set up a system for paying my bills-spread sheet or something
Wasting time online
*weed out some more newsletters (I was down to a great little list of emails, but it's time to weed out again)
*keep this list posted and by my computer at all times! (umm, where's my list? ) _________________ Val

Well it's the end of the year and time to go over things that worked and didn't work. Here is the updated stuff in red.
Newsletters
*BMW and LSS out on the 5th of each month
*Momchats out weekly every Wed. night
(Anita don't hit me! I think this is something I need to VA out honestly. I have put it together some months and it never goes out. But momchats is out consistantly thanks to my partner Lauren. She rocks!)
I am going the VA route now. It's something I don't want to do. I write them up and then they sit on my computer. So now I am writing them up and sending them to my VA to post for me. WOOHOO to outsourcing!
Blogging is making me the majority of my online money right now while I revamp. I am thankfully posting to my blogs almost daily. I love having WP so I can set them up to go out on future dates
Focusing on what I have already built(well this is great in theory, but impossible! I do give up on the no building new sites. I know my failings and this is one of them. But it's to the benefit of many people that it is a failing. Laughing )
*NO NEW SITES BUILT UNTIL ALL 4 OF MY CURRENT SITES ARE "COMPLETED"! This is a big one I need to stick to. yeah, this one isn't ever going to happen. lol
Completed in this case will mean:
BMW
- changed over to xsitepro (didn't workout for me)
-ebooks live (still needed)This will be at the top of my list over the holidays or the beginning of the year. I have a lot of ebooks that need to get put up.
-shopping section completed (when is something ever completed? lol I do have it up)I have put up many, but I want to research other ways to make it look better. The page is getting hits though.
-blog template designed to coordinate (done, but am not liking, so I'm redoing it again right now)It's up and matches my site. DONE
-all of my articles put on that are in my notebooks (almost done!)DONE
LSS
-changed over to xsitepro (again, didn't work for me)
-articles from my notebook put up (most are)DONE
-digital kits loaded (haven't even started)Still looking for digital designers. I can't believe this is difficult. There are a ton of amateur designers that I would expect to want some money for their designs.
-blog template designed to coordinateI'm going back to my blogger account for this, so need a different theme. My blogger blog has a higher PR and traffic even though it wasn't updated for a year. Go figure?
-gallery designed to match (done)
workingwahm
-header designed (done)
-direct sales pages completed Project to add for next year
-blog template to match new design (found a great free template and converted the entire site to WP, so done)
Mom Chat's DONE with all that was on my list.
-header to coordinate w/ WW (done)
-10 more articles up (done)
-some other stuff that is on my list but not here (done)
Advertising
*link exchanges with 3 sites every month
*events planned
*put sites in 2 directories a month
*outside advertising set in stone and paid for ahead of time for the year
(oh so lacking in this area)I've been doing advertising in a different way than i posted on here. Sites are being promoted through www.mywahmspace.com and I've also been promoting my blogs by visiting other blogs and commenting. I haven't done any link exchanges and when I convert sites yet again in Jan. I will work on page to page exchanges.
Organization
*load both my checking accounts in QuickenNot worrying about it. I can just use the check registers and it actually gets done. lol A bookkeeper is on my list for 2008.
*clean out file cabinet (done at least once)It's in good shape, but could use another check through and update some files.
*set up a system for paying my bills-spread sheet or somethingThis is something I do need help with. I'm thinking the bookkeeper would be a better option.
Wasting time online
*weed out some more newsletters (I was down to a great little list of emails, but it's time to weed out again)This is something that I swear needs to be done every other month. lol I was doing so well and now my inbox is full of stuff I don't have time to read.
*keep this list posted and by my computer at all times! (umm, where's my list? Laughing)Now that I have my laptop I never sit in the same place. It doesn't help to have it by my PC. In 2008 I think I will just print off a copy to have in my notebook or planner. I always have those with me. _________________ Val

Thank you, wait until you see next years. YIKES! That isn't even all of my stuff anymore. lol But it's more fun now because I am seeing money regularly every month. Pretty good incentive I think! _________________ Val
