Hello! I am Michelle and I am in southern Indiana. I just found this forum yesterday afternoon and am checking it all out.
I am mom to three kids, my oldest is my son who is 7, my middle is a daughter who turns 6 in April and the youngest is my daughter who turns 3 in March.
I'm married to my college sweetheart. We've been married for 13 1/2 years, but we dated for the four years of college, so we have been together for 17 1/2 years! Most of my life!
Hubby owns a resturant in town, and I recently started my own home business. I make handmade beaded cuffed socks, Hair barrettes and hair twisters. I started mine from a need because my oldest daughter found some beaded socks somehwere and when I looked at them the crocheting to attach the beads was done so tight that you couldn't get her foot in the sock, and they didn't have many beads. So I told her I could do better and I did. family and firends have liked them so in January I decided to go public with it and put them out there for sale. So far, so good....I had one sale last week and one sale this week. I am feeling pretty good.
Thank you for allowing me to check you all out and for introducing myself.

Great site Michelle. Looks like a lot of fun.
Do they wash just like regular socks?

Yes, you can wash them in the machine just like anything else.
If you have a couple of pairs of them, you can put them all in a mesh lingere bag and wash them together. I recommend the mesh bag if you are doing a small load were they are more apt to get tumbled harder or if you are concerned.
Also, I do recommend that you use low heat if you put them in the dryer.
I made my first pair for my daughter almost three years ago, and my youngest is now wearing them and they haven't lost a bead to date.
Thank you for asking! That is something that I probably should post on the website too....

After the question was asked about washing the socks on this forum, I have made some changes to the website...
I added a section called "Care and Handling" and I re-worked the styles and sizes area a little.
Thank you for the input!!
If anyone would like, please check it out at http://www.crafty-ones.com/atammcreations and let me know how you like it and if you see anythign else that I might want to change!
Thank you for your help!!
