How far ahead do you work on your crop schedules?
I would love to work a year out. But alas, I can never plan like that. Something will inevitably come up if I do. _________________ Val

Val-
I'm not sure I understand your question? Do you mean how far in advance do I schedule crops? I think a year out is way too far for me, I have a hard enough time scheduleing myself for anything more than a month or two out for the reason you stated above...something inevitably gets in the way. _________________ Lauren

Yes, how far in advance do you schedule crops or even come up with the themes for them.
I know it is a much better idea if you are going to have a monthly crop that you pick a day (say the second sat for example) and that is just set it stone.
Things do always come up. But if it's a regularly scheduled crop, you'll have better luck with attendance.
Think of other things that you schedule and will make a point of keeping. Your business should be the same.
It's hard as Mom's because we tend to pick up all the slack for the family. If you want to have crops, then you have to put a schedule out a couple of months in advance at the very least. Not necessarily the whole year at a time. But to hold successful crops they need to be made a priority in the household. _________________ Val
