Ok, I am WAY behind the times here but I need to ask....how do I get my email to look like angie @ americaspartyconnection.com? I would like to do this for all of my sites. Do I do this through my C Panel at Host Gator? If so, where would I look and what is the process? Can I get that forwarded to my Comcast email? I don't use Outlook.
Please help
Gosh I am just full of questions today but I need to get my butt in gear so I have a ton to learn. _________________ ~Angie~

Woohoo, keep asking away! It means you are being productive. lol
Yes, you set it up through your cpanel. Here's how to do it:
*There should be a section that says email with some links. Click on manage accounts.
*At the bottom there will be a link that says add account. It's right next to the go back link. Click on the add account.
*Type in what you want it to be, the password and click create.
*After you create it, click the go back and then hit the configure mail client link so you are sure that it is set up.
Someone else will have to answer about the mail forwarding as I've been wondering the same thing. I have a zillion and 3 email addresses between the sites and I'd love to have them all be in one accessible account. But I want them to go to my gmail account and not outlook. _________________ Val

I can't say I know much about Host Gator but I would imagine that you probably could. Maybe look around in your account for forwarding.
Now I do want to mention something ... I used to do this. BUT I had mine forwarded to my Yahoo email. I used anita @ mommyshelperonline.com however, I started to find out that since it was forwarded, yahoo would block quite a few of them. Go figure. For some reason I'm hooked on Yahoo. I absolutely LOVE it. I also love the fact that I can easily access it anywhere. (But I'm not selling you on yahoo here, lol)
If you can't find anything about forwarding, maybe email or call support. Chances are you'll find out this will probably be the easiest step.
If you don't mind, when you find out ... do mind posting the steps for anyone else who might need them?
Take care,

There is an email forwarding link, but I've just been afraid to use it and mess up all my emails. Plus, I wasn't sure if I can then answer from my main email addy and it will say the gmail account or the biz account. Guess I could use of the accounts I don't get a lot of biz email at and see what happens. _________________ Val

Update
I just talked with Chris at Host Gator and he walked me through it after he created the domain email for me. Basically it's what Val posted above and the forwarding did work as Kev sent an email to me at my new domain email address and I got it in my Comcast email account.
BUT when I reply to that email my Comcast email address is in the from section so, from what we have found the only way for it to show your domain email address when replying to an email is to use Outlook and I do not want to do that so for now this will have to be the way it is
Does this make sense? _________________ ~Angie~

Thanks for the update. Rats, I so hoped it would show the other email address. It may still be something I do to my generic email address that is just my name.
I won't be using outlook either. Not when my gmail accounts can be accessed from any computer and have unlimited amounts of file space. If I loaded all my accounts into outlook I would need a computer just for that. Super spoiled with gmail. _________________ Val

I know absolutely nothing of Host Gator, but every host I have been with has had web based email access. You might look in your C Panel for Web Mail or something similar. I personally use Outlook, but am greatly considering dumping it and going to my hosts web mail. The functionality is similar, but then has the ease of access you all are talking about.
Bottom line: look for Web Mail in your CPanel or email support.
A quick thought. Try typing http://email.yourwebsite.com in your browser and see what happens. (replacing yourwebsite.com with your actual URL of course)
