Okay, so that's probably not the official name of it, but it's here!
Now your prospects can be simply wholesale customers on autoship without having to provide their SSN. So what's the difference between being a Distributor and a Preferred Customer? The difference lies in a little check box and profit potential.
Similarities
* Both Distributor and Preferred Customer get products on autoship for $1.97 shipping
* Both Distributor and Preferred Customer can purchase additional product at wholesale pricing
* Both Distributor and Preferred Customer have an account (MY ACCOUNT) login to manage their autoship
Differences
* A Distributor provides a SSN when enrolling (Preferred Customer does not - they uncheck the box on the enrollment page)
* A Distributor can make money by enrolling other Distributors and Preferred Customers (Preferred Customer does not make any money)
* A Distributor can get a commission check and earn their products free (Preferred Customer can not)
* A Distributor gets a free web site for marketing (Preferred Customer does not)
* A Distributor can earn free trips (Annual Sizzlin' Summer Getaway), free jerky on the biz op call and take part in promotions (Preferred Customer does not)
The bottom line is that Distributors are business builders and Preferred Customers are not. They can not make money at all. However, they can provide JD their SSN and become a Distributor.
How Can You Use the New Preferred Customer Program?
There are a few different ways you can take advantage of this new program... that I can think of off the top of my head anyway. The ability to enroll Preferred Customers can have a tremendous positive impact on fundraising efforts. I'll explain.
There are different ways to do fundraiser, but one continuous income producing way is for the organization to open a JD store (enroll as a Distributor) and sell products throughout the year. Now their supporters can sign up as their Preferred Customers. For Distributors working with fundraisers this will be an awesome advantage to long term fundraising success.
Obviously the other way to use the Preferred Customer program is to grow a huge customer base for yourself. There is no $100 monthly minimum requirement to be on autoship so this is great. Instead of your customers buying once in a while from you they can be an autoship, always get their products each month, save money at the same time, enjoy a flat rate autoship shipping charge of $1.97 and you earn a profit from them every single month!
Isn't that cool?
The Preferred Customer program is a huge new tool in your marketing tool box. I hope you'll take full advantage of it. To see how it works, go to your web site and click the enrollment button. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you'll see a check box. When you enroll Distributors they need to leave that box checked. If you are enrolling a Preferred Customer, they will uncheck the box. You can see on the enrollment form on the next page that the only difference is the field for the SSN.
The signup process is simple either way; either leave the box checked (for Distributor enrollment) or uncheck it (for Preferred Customer enrollment).
If you love this new option, be sure to let your company know. This is just another example of JD listening to the desires of their Distributors and meeting the need.
