Hi,
I don't know alot but I think it depends on what the ring is for. I've heard that a ring can lead people away from your site.
I did start a ring on my blog (which is being reconstructed) for women writers because I saw it as providing another resource.
If your site is a blog you have other ways of connecting.
Not much help I know. _________________ ~*Loretta*~

I'm sorry Lara-I really don't know much of anything about web-rings. Hope there is someone here who has had some experiences, or knows something about them. _________________ Lauren

Well as you are the one starting it, i think it is different.
It will probably bring more links to you. However, when you place links on your site it makes for clicks away from your site. So most SEO guru's are against joining any site rings or topsites.
So it depends. On some of my sites, I'm simply looking for more traffic, doesn't matter on how the SEO comes out. But on other sites my SEO is what I work hard for.
There is no right or wrong for this. Sorry that won't help you any. lmbo _________________ Val

That's right and Val's post is very right. My honest opinion is this ... don't waste your time Work on other things that will do better for longer
Take care,
