Hi Everyone!
I just joined & am so excited about the forums I've looked through so far. I live in Land O Lakes, Florida and have 2 children (ages 4 & 2).
I'm an educational consultant with Discovery Toys and really love it! I was an elementary teacher before becoming a SAHM & Discovery Toys just seemed like the right business for me to be in.
Looking forward to getting to know lots of you & picking your brains for ideas. Hope I can also be a resource to others.

Not fair!! I WANT to live in Florida and it seems like everyday there's someone new from there. I WANT TO BE THERE!! LOL! I really see me being one of those people who retire in a condo in Florida ... I really do!! I have a feeling if it weren't for mine and my husband's parents, we probably WOULD be there now. I know there wouldn't be any complaints from my kids!
Anyway ...
Welcome Jan! I really look forward to getting to know you better and definitely bounce some ideas off of each other! (You've found the right place for that!) Please make yourself at home and have a great time!

Hi and welcome! This is a great forum and I am sure you will enjoy it!! Where is Lake O Lakes? I grew up in West Palm Beach, but now live in Lake Placid, FL which is about 90 miles of Orlando!

Trust me, Anita, your kids would NOT enjoy the heat we are experiencing this summer. Even at 5am (when I work out) it's 80 degrees and HUMID outside. The flip side, though, is that our winters are wonderful!!
You and your family should plan a trip to Disney and the Smart Moms could meet you up there!!!

And you know what? I hate the winters here in PA so badly that I wouldn't be caught dead complaining about the humidity! We've had our share here this summer too ... and trust me, I STILL wouldn't complain. Does that tell you how much I hate winter? LOL!

We were there about 2 years ago (for the second time) and we plan on going again here when the little guy gets a little bigger. We want him to be tall enough to ride anything he wants, lol. Hopefully that won't be too long but then again, if you seen my little guy and how "quickly" or should I say "not-so-quickly" he grows, lol ... it might be a while!

Welcome Jan! Glad to have another one from Florida. And just to chime in- I WOULD NEVER EVER LIVE UP NORTH and I love the heat and humidity! I could not live in the snow! 
But we are so glad you are here Jan. I am a teacher too, just back to the school system.
