Okay ladies! Who's up for a weight loss goal?

I've got two big trips coming up and I want to look good for them both! Laughing

The first trip is 6 weeks away... going to Disney with my dd Jillian's band. We'll be in Disney for 4 days and are staying at a hotel with an indoor pool.... so even if it's not warm enough to swim outside in the outdoor pool, I'll still want to swim in the indoor pool. My first goal is to lose 10 pounds by the time we leave so that I am back to where I was last summer and so I'll fit back into the new bathing suit I bought.

The next trip is our cruise in May. That one gives me some more time and I have no excuse but to reach my goal weight by then. Not only do I want to reach my goal weight, but I want to be firm and fit. I want to be at 135 by the time we leave on that trip.

I'm going to start a new post and list my weekly weight and exercise.

Who is with me?!!!!

Bev

I'm firmly behind you.

Map out if you are being realistic for yourself. I didn't see numbers on the second goal. 2 pounds a week is a realistic goal. Granted you can lose much more, but you have to put more time than most working parents can afford to.

2 pounds a week is easy with food changes and getting back to moving. Heck, I've eaten quite bad and maintained my weight over the holidays because I workout so much.

Now our goal is 20 pounds each. Hubby and I are ready to commit to this. If you need anything, please remember to ask. Honestly, this is what I do 24/7 for work. lol I will be up in just a few hours to hit the gym with a client as a matter of fact. Laughing

Oh, I feel like I just reverted back over the holidays. I had been going to the gym 3-4 days a week. I wasn't really losing weight (need to eat better) but I was losing inches. I have only been to the gym once in the past two weeks. I'm supposed to go this morning. I'm not feeling well but I guess I need to drag myself there.

I want to lose 40 pounds by June! I'm in a family Biggest Loser competition. There are 7 of us and we have until June to see who has lost the most weight/body fat. The winner wins the pot $350.

Once my daughter gets back to school, tomorrow, I will be back to my regular routine again.

I hope you all meet your goals.

Val, luckily I've worked hard over the past year, so I only have 20 pounds to lose to reach my goal weight... I only had 10 pounds to reach goal as of last summer but I just maintained from the end of summer through October. Then I gained about 5 pounds between Halloween and right before Christmas.... and I've gained 5 over Christmas! Embarassed

I'm hoping those 5 from Christmas come off pretty easy since I just put them on, so I think my goals are very reachable....

Lose 10 pounds in 6 weeks, then 10 more by the end of April so that I'm in great shape for our cruise!

Oh yeah, those are totally attainable goals. You'll be rocking the confidence on your cruise. Smile

Loretta, so you know you have the commitment to workout, you just have to get back in the habit. But you will be way ahead of your family in the challenge. Your body will already be in a mode to work off the weight. Your only obstacle will be the diet. This is my problem too. I workout like crazy most weeks, easier since I'm at the gym for hours Laughing, but if I don't cut my calories back all I'm doing is maintaining.

I do have 20 pounds I'd like to lose. I'm honestly quit happy with how I am right now, but I know I will be happier with those 20 pounds gone. And it's all about the diet for me.

I was going back and forth with 4 pounds over the holidays, but yesterday when we went to the gym it was off. So I maintained over the holidays!!!

I'm a little sore after the first 4 days of exercising... but I've been working my butt off! I've been working out between an hour and 1 1/2 hours a day... as of this morning, I'm down 3 pounds Laughing I knew the first few would come off quick because they went on pretty quick Embarassed

I've been very careful about what I'm eating and making sure I eat a good snack between meals so that I'm not always hungry. I've been good about taking food to work with me so that I'm not running to the local convenience store for junk! That has helped this week for sure!

I've got so much more energy! I feel better (except for being sore) right now and have more energy than I've had since Halloween. That's pitiful! Why do I let myself go like that???? Mad

But I'm back on track, and with two major events coming up, I know I'll stay focused on my goals!

Scott and I just started the Weight Watchers program yesterday.

Since he has returned from Iraq (August 31) unfortunately he and I have been indulging WAY TOO MUCH!!! Scott has because everything justs tastes way too good, after the yucky mess hall food he says. And I have been right there beside him munching way too much.

We are utilizing the Flex Plan, and even though it has only been two days, I have already realized quite a bit about our "bad" habits, so to speak. For instance......

Portion control!!!! Wow, have our portions ever been way off....YIKES!!!

Yesterday I was doing lots of housework and just about everytime I walked by my dining room table, I caught myself wanting to grab a Hershey's Kiss from the candy dish.

Also, while I was cooking dinner, I found myself wanting to sample and taste way too often, too.

And I have to admit that each time I did one of those things, I wasn't hungry, but rather did it just out of habit.

My goal is to lose 20 lbs. and Scott's goal is 35 lbs.

I joined weight watchers a few months ago. I was doing the flex plan but just switched to core. And I took my whole family with me. My two year old chose to eat celery for breakfast this morning. I guess they will pick healthy stuff to eat if it is the only thing available.

Celery for breakfast! Laughing Oh my! lol!

That's great that the whole family is with you on this... my family is too. Hubby, Becca (oldest dd) and I all need to lose weight, but youngest dd (Jillian) is a toothpick. However, she does not eat very healthy. So we are ALL eating better, including Jillian. In fact, Jillian has been exercising almost as much as I have been! She goes to our exercise room (basement Laughing ) and works out with me a lot. It's nice to have company Laughing

Opportunities these days are looking for investments at any level. A simple loan can be taken to finance the money for the investment. One of the better options out there is stock trading, the margins are high and the business is successful. Another one is real estate investment, for which one can get a mortgage refinance services to get a lower interest rate loan. Other small opportunities are providing insurances like cheap car insurance or supplying services in the finance sector like merchant credit services.
