Jillian is coming to my area for a motivational event and I'm registering myself a bunch of my clients. I'm hoping it's not too late already since I just found out about it. lol

Hubby and I hit the gym today. I have been working on calories spent as my goal and not minutes. Just what I'm focusing on, doesn't make it right. lol So today I spent 400 calories on cardio and then we did a good leg workout and abs of course.

Today is 1/1/08 and I will try to keep my personal weight loss blog up to date at www.weightwoes.com.

Bev,

How many calories are you burning on your 3 miles? I'm just curious.

I usually do 2 miles on the treadmill and if I set the incline at 4 I burn about 300 calories. I think I need to increase the time I spend on the treadmill.

After the treadmill I have been alternating days for weights for upper body and lower body. I do crunches every time...once when I get off the treadmill and once when I'm done the weights.

I burned about 365 calories doing 3 miles on the gazelle... but only 74 on the elliptical... It doesn't take as long to do a mile on the elliptical but it's a lot harder! lol! I'm going to have to work my way up to doing more on that!

I want to add Slim in 6 videos in the mornings and alternate which ones I do to get some resistance training in every other day.

I haven't done the gazelle in several months Embarassed I had been down to about 12 minutes to do a mile and last night it took me over 16 minutes to do a mile! I really need to decrease that time... cause then I can go farther in the same amount of time. I was doing 2.5 miles in 30 minutes. Last night, it took me almost 45 minutes to do the 3 miles! I could have almost done 3.75 miles in that amount of time before!

4 days of good exercising so far! I'm pretty happy with it! As I wrote in another post, as of this morning, I'm already down 3 pounds! Laughing I knew it would go pretty quick cause the last 5 pounds went on in about 2 weeks Embarassed Yeah, that's embarrassing.... What a pig I was over Christmas!

But I'm back on track!

Awesome Bev! Today will be some kind of movement every day this week. So 5 for 5 so far. But only 4 of those were decent cardio workouts. One day we did a good weights workout and couldn't get into our cardio. lol But I did just keep walking a few calories away.

Jillian is my idol. I want to be her when and if I have to grow up. Laughing
