How often do you get on the scale and weigh in? For me, I actually weigh in every morning. I want to make sure I'm not gaining weight. What about you?

I shoot for once a week or more.

I have a client that is addicted to the scale and we have to take it away frequently. Her husband just took them away again recently. lol But she has one at work, the one at the gym, then she goes to weight watchers and home. NOT GOOD!

The scale is garbage and means nothing. Most people will get on the scale, see that they didn't lose any weight and then eat more. You can't expect the scale to move down every day.

I hate scales! Did I mention that? Shoot for the way clothes fit and how good you feel because you are working out and eating better. Smile

Val...while I agree in theory...when I quit using a scale, I gained weight. I kept thinking, oh I have time to lose this, I don't weigh in until next week, or I dont' weigh in for 4 more days.

Now...I know that every morning I'll see what the scale says.

I used to hate scales, today they are my friend...they keep me very accountable. I won't use any scale but the one at my house...otherwise you get into calibrations that might be different and you might be 3-5 pounds different. If I go away for a week...I don't weigh in for a week, I just refuse to use any other scale LOL.

I congratulate you on using the scale responsibly. Very few can and keep a positive mindset. Smile It's such a catch-22 with it.

I'm like Audrey, I use it to keep accountable.... when I slip up bad, the first thing I do is stop weighing myself, and then I gain weight... but if I force myself to get on that scale every day, I know that I'm screwing up and will get myself back on track.

I weigh myself no more than once a week. I found that if I do it anymore I become obsessed and do it way too often.
