Okay hi again everyone! Smile

I was recently bit by the crochet bug again!

I used to crochet but i could never start it, and all i knew to do would be to make long long strands (Never got the hang of the rows connected to each other lol) But since i have recently got back into the retro pretty punch brigade, i figured i would give crochet another chance.

Does anyone have any good sites that can 'school' a beginner crocheter? Or does anyone have a way to explain it in type? heh.

Thanks so much for your time ladies!! Smile

Here I am Shelly. Thanks for the invite.

Yes I do a lot of crocheting, knitting and not so much pretty punch now. I used to do a lot though and so did hubby. Right now I am into the crocheting. I am making afghans.

I am sure I can dig up some good sites to teach you about crocheting. I am not sure if I could explain good enough online for you but I could try maybe. I will send you my email in a pm and we can chat that way.

I love to crochet! Unfortunately, I have arthritis in my hands and I can't do it like I used to without being very sore afterward....

Here's a site that gives some basic instructions on how to make a chain and get started:

http://www.learntoknit.com/instructions_cr.php3

Hope that helps!

Those links are great! I'm new to crocheting and am always on the lookout for sites to help me. I wanted to pass along a site I found that has a few basics videos showing how to crochet. The link is: http://www.monkeysee.com/play/6925-how-to-crochet

I'm not sure if you're interested in how to videos, but I found these useful when I was just starting out.
