Ok I am ready to build a site for my jewelry team.
My daughter is asking me as she builds it if I want it in the big screen or standard. She said if I go big screen standard users will have to slide the screen to view all, and if I go standard then those with large screens will find it skimpy to view.. HELP!!
And we are wondering where we might find she said "cursors" that would look like pixie dust, diamonds, etc when we click on something to get to the next page.
THANKS!!!
Any other tips....wonderful, God Bless and thank you!
LOL

Go with standard, few things are worse than scrolling side ways on a site.
She can center it so that on big screens like mine it will be in the middle and not to the lefthand side.
I have no idea where to find the cursors, I'd try some myspace graphic places if you REALLY want one. But personally, that would make me leave your site in a heartbeat. I know you are building this for your team, but if I was in your downline I'd never go there. The cute cursors are obnoxious and usually end up covering things I'm trying to read.
Try to go for a professional layout and design. That's how you view your business. _________________ Val

I'll second everything Val has said.
Those with the large screens are pretty used to seeing "skimpy" sites because the "standard" is to build a "standard" site.
Those fancy cursors and such slow down my internet and personally drive me crazy.
Take care,

I hear ya on that one. You no doubt want them to focus on the valuable content more so than...
hey - is that a jumping blueberry?
... than getting distracted by trailing cursors.
(Sorry.... couldn't resist!) LOL!

ROFL!! You girls are too much!!
And forget about all the
fancy ALL the "fancy"
stuff ...
Keep it all uniform.
No matter how pretty you think it is
It's very hard on the eyes and annoying to your readers. Stay with black type on a white background. Do not use different fonts either. The easiest to read and easies on the eyes are fonts such as Arial, Helvetica and Sans Serif.
Hmm ... good discussion! And GREAT examples! I can't think of anymore right now but does anyone else have anymore?
Take care,

Excellent questions and I agree with all the answers. Standard screen for sure and no cursors. I have high speed Internet and they still sometimes slow it down.
Looking forward to seeing what ya'll come up with! _________________ ~Angie~
