There is nothing wrong with that. Just send it out as text and include the link at the top of it to be viewed online. I have newsletters that won't be anything except text ever.

Thanks so much ladies!

I *think* we have decided that I will send out a broadcast letting subscribers know that I have had some technical difficulties and my 1st issue will now come out in July however I'll update them with other items regarding my website, etc and keep in touch until then.

It was just way too overwhelming for me and I about lost it today LOL not really but we tried to get something online and it just didn't format right and since it's the first one I want it to be halfway decent ya know?

We are still working on it so I'll let you know what we decide but I appreciate the feedback on my latest situation Wink

I wouldn't even bother with that statement to your subscribers.

Write up a quick editor section, just one paragraph. Then put a section saying what is new on the site. Then throw an article in there from wahm articles. Do all of this in text format and call it good. You are trying for perfection sweetie and that NEVER happens. Wink

Like we said earlier. Your newsletter will get better with every one you put out. But don't worry about any apologies needed with the first one. Many newsletters are very quick and those usually get read more. The only one I put out that is very long is for my members at scrapfacts.

Totally agree with Val. No apologies. You have nothing to apologise for, and it introduces a negative note straight away. This is the first newsletter. No one has any idea what to expect anyway. Go for it. Very Happy

Yes, this negativity is my worry as well.

Thank you so much for your input. Hubby said not to send it as well. He got up early and worked on it (said he couldn't sleep last night because he's really good at these things and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working). Aweber says on their site that you can input your own html if you have it and it does not format the way it should. We have tried two different html codes so it's frustrating. I have to call them to see why we can't seem to get it to work.

Kev thinks we can send out the newsletter this week but we are already halfway through June, I'm thinking I should wait until July 1st for the actual newsletter and just send out a message like you mentioned, Val. I think that would be great.

We are going to work on it more tonight (he told me to take a break from it today so I'm not even going to look at it right now LOL).

Thanks again Smile

Thanks Val! The only other question I have about that is how do I make it go right to the part of the article that it ended on in the newsletter? Does that make sense?

Makes perfect sense ... and let me see if I can help you. I've never done it the way that you're describing but I have done it a different way.

In your newsletter, for the link to the article, you'll need to put something like this code:

<a href=http://www.losingitandlovingit.com/article-name.html/#rest-of-article>Click here to read the rest of this article ...</a>

Then on your website page, you'll want to put the following right before the paragraph you want it to start at using this code:

<a name="rest-of-article"></a>

That should do it. If that doesn't work, let me know. LOL! It's hard for me to do it from this end. I'm must better with doing it right where it belongs, lol. But I looked at the code and I don't think I'm missing anything.

Val is 100% right here Wink You are trying so hard for this to be perfect and like she says, perfection never happens. Not to mention, as soon as you pick something you really like and think you have it down pat ... you'll learn or see something else you like better and you'll change it! You're doing a fabulous job ... don't get yourself so worked up Wink

Take care,

OH! I almost forgot ... I wanted to show you what that link would do. Here is my code:

<a href="http://www.mommyshelperonline.com/wahm-resource-directory.html#shops">Work-at-Home Shops</a>

and

<a name="shops">Work-at-HomeShops</a>

Now remember, mine looks a little different so DON'T use this code. Because I have text that I want to be in there and you don't necessarily need it that way. And here's the page it takes you to:

http://www.mommyshelperonline.com/wahm-resource-directory.html/#shops

Hope this helps some!!

Take care,

Thanks for the code help, Anita. I will take a closer look at it later for sure.

I have to tell you all that I *think* we are almost ready to rock n roll and send out my newsletter. Sure it's going to be the middle of June LOL but after so many hours of working on it, it seems to be working. I have a few very minor things to add to it today but it should go out by tomorrow morning. YIPPIE!

I know it will only get better and yep, I wanted it to be perfect but I know that's not going to happen so I'm happy where it's at and I look forward to the feedback.

Kev thinks I should just leave it as is and keep the entire articles in the newsletter and then learn how to do the links to break it up later.

Now I'm off to try to figure out how to get what I have in the html section in Aweber into the plain text so my subscribers have a choice of which one to read. Ahhhh the learning curve has definitely been an experience Shocked

Ok, so it didn't go out today but oh my goodness, I'm just about ready to publish my very first newsletter. I cannot believe it. It has most definitely been a huge learning curve for me but I think it turned out great.

It should go out tonight or tomorrow morning whoo hoo

I had to change a few things today and hubby is going to give it a once over tonight so I'll either set it to publish tonight or tomorrow morning.

For future reference, does anyone know if there is a good day/time to send out newsletters or does it really matter?

If I don't set them to go out immediately, then I just set it to go out in the middle of the night so it's in their inbox when they get up. But it doesn't matter. Most people do not check their emails every day. Let alone all day and night like we do. Laughing

Sounds good to me, Val!

Kev asked if I sent it out and I told him he has to look at it again with the changes I made today. He said "just send it already so you can get feedback" LOL

I will send it out tonight so it should be in everyone's inbox in the morning.

Hot damn you've done one heck of a job!!!! Way to go! What were you waiting for on sending this out?

It's very easy to read with plenty of "white space". The colors and the font are easy on the eyes. Everything laid out very well.

I really didn't want to post this kind of post. Well, didn't want to is the right way to say it, lol. I wasn't going to make this kind of post. I was going to be very honest with honest feedback .... highlighting any mistakes. But guess what? I don't have anything to say! I really searched the newsletter trying to find something negative to post about. I couldn't find anything wrong.

Oh honey, for your first newseltter this is one excellent piece of work!

Okay one thing ...
#3 on your article, you have an extra space in there.

Now how stupid-picky is that?? LOL!

Honestly girl .. you did great! Keep up the great work!

Take care,
Anita Razz

I ditto Anita. It looks great. This is actually a great size for a newsletter also. Long enough that you have given info, but not too long that they lose interest. I really like the format with the little bits of info to the size.

I'm so steeling that quote! I love it!

I'll look forward to getting more. Wink Oh and I did get the second autoresponder as well. Smile

Awww thank you so much, ladies!

Got to go in and change the space on #3, thanks for catching that.

And I was thinking, I would like to add something at the very bottom on the next issue, something like "Until Next Time" or just a quick closing note.

I know I have a lot of free space in the left nav portion but I didn't want to overdo it with ads or anything but I may change it up every month, maybe add a few things, etc.

I'm so glad it's done and now I can start working on the July newsletter. Kev really was a major part of this 1st one and he deserves the kudos Wink

Val, thanks for letting me know you got the 2nd autoresponder.

Appreciate your thoughts ladies Smile

Well Kudos to Kev too Wink

The white space you have is just about perfect! I wouldn't go overboard with it Wink

You know, I really thought about the "closing note" too but then I had to think ... I don't really have a "closing" on any of mine. Maybe I learned something out of this too! Very Happy Yours does seem to end a little abrubtly (but then again, like I said, so do mine) Looks like something both of us need to change Wink

Keep up the great work!

Take care,
Anita Razz

Opportunities these days are looking for investments at any level. A simple loan can be taken to finance the money for the investment. One of the better options out there is stock trading, the margins are high and the business is successful. Another one is real estate investment, for which one can get a mortgage refinance services to get a lower interest rate loan. Other small opportunities are providing insurances like cheap car insurance or supplying services in the finance sector like merchant credit services.
