Great job!! I seen that you purchased your hosting either last night or early this morning. I seen that you got your discounted rates too Wink Good!

Hopefully as soon as I get MY act together, I'll have you writing/editing some articles for me and I'll be able to give you a testimonial to add on there Wink

I gotta tell you ... you remind me a lot of Lauren when she first started. We helped her a lot but she worked hard! She took all the advice and made it work for her. Just as you have been! That means good things for your future Wink

OMG! I needed so much hand holding at first and things literally spelled out for me in 1,2,3 order for awhile there! Still do sometimes! Am I right ladies - ask Val and Anita! LOL! Once I know what I'm doing, I know what I'm doing and can run with it, but getting started, for me, requires a patient teacher! (Now that's MY opinion of ME of course, not of you Marcie Wink )

I'm just happy that I could "pay it forward" so to speak and help someone else out! And how cool that you'll be doing some writing for Anita - can't wait to read the articles. Very Happy

Keep us "posted" Marcie!

Every time we help someone it brings things back into our heads as well. Laughing Also, you'd be surprised at how many of us (ok, me) do things the hard way and can still learn from these "beginner" posts. Laughing

Of course, Wordpress comes out with a new version as soon as I am done with my website. So is this going to be a big deal? Like if I download it ...what do I do next?

Uh oh...here I go again. Laughing

You can update WP from within the hosting account - same place that you went to install it. Once you've logged into your hosting account, go to Value Applications (under Content). Once that's open, you'll see "My Applications" in the upper right-hand corner, and under that you should see WordPress listed and "Installed" under that. Click on WordPress under "My Applicatons and it'll give you the details for that install, including the most current version installed.

I'm in mine now and see that version 2.3.2 is available (scroll down to the bottom of the page and you'll see a red bar that says "Install This Update" - then follow the update instructions, a couple of clicks and you're done. Then it usually only takes about 5-10 minutes for them to complete the update. You'll see "Pending Patch" under WordPress in My Applications until the update is complete. Once it is you're good to go!

Not sure what all the difference is - think it has something to do with security - so there may not be much of a viewable difference. Wink I still have to upgrade all of mine - so couldn't tell you for sure, yet.
