Hi -

Does anyone have experience buying wholesale from crafters? I'm talking about home business crafters who usually sell at craft fairs.

I'm just starting to think about it and so am trying to compile a list of things I should consider. Anyone have any suggestions? If you're a crafter, I'd love to hear from you too regarding the things you would require.

Thanks!
Melissa

Hi,

I would definitely buy from other crafters who offer wholesale. I think I find it gives your booth a variety for customers to choose from.
Plus there are some things that I am not good at. A few things that would interest me are stitchery pillows, penny rugs and wood signs.

Plus I notice that most customers buy patterns from crafters so I am starting to offer my patterns wholesale and maybe a few of my finished dolls. Right now I am working out the kinks. Smile

The only thing that would concern me is when I sign up for craft shows and a promoter ask if we create our own products (if wholesaling from another crafter- we would have to say no).

Would love to hear other thoughts on this. Smile
