|
|
Hi all,
I have been pondering for a few years on writing an ezine book. I have the title, and topics but not sure what else is needed.
Like how many pages??, Should it be something like a book format??
My book is more a do's and don'ts book but very informative? Not sure where to begin?
Are their sites that publish ezine books?
Help??? _________________ Hugs & Blessings,

I'm assuming you're talking about an ebook?
Your magazine ... are you the one that makes it into a PDF? If so, then you already know how to publish your own ezine
Now of course there's a bit more details in "how to write and ebook" but, it looks as though you already have a good idea of what you want to write about, right?
But, here's the simplicity of what I do. I simply open a WordPerfect document, write my ebook and then go up to File, Publish To and click on PDF.
Of course, if you publish your magazine differently, that's fine too ... my way of course is not the only way but ... simple, eh? (It is )
That's actually the easy part.
The best way to make it available for downloading though is to not just upload the PDF as is.
Save the PDF to your desktop, right click on it, click Send To, choose something that looks like Compressed (zipped) Folder. It'll zip it up in a nice neat little zipped folder ready for uploading.
From there, upload it to your webhosting and you will be able to give the download link as something that looks like this:
www.YourWebsite.com/NameOfEbook.zip
Just a little tip for future reference: You also may want to make mention on the download page that they will need a program to unzip files and Adobe Reader.
Most computers have these already but ... sometimes you'll find some that do not. Both of these programs are free and can be downloaded here:
Zip Wizard: http://www.coffeecup.com/zip-wizard/
Adobe Reader: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
For the size ... this is completely and totally up to you. For it to be named an ebook - I would recommend it be at least 30 pages. And that really is a guess. It really can be any length you want it to be. Although, anything under 30 pages and you might consider calling it a report.
The size of your ebook would also help you give it a price.
Does this help? If so, what do ya say we, stop pondering and get writing?
Take care,

Yes, I am thinking of writing an ebook. Well now that I have pondered enough and you answered my questions.
I think I better get to writing. LOL
