Many shopping carts have an affiliate program built in. If you have your own affiliate program, what software or program do you use?
We are looking and the pro's and con's of all of them for research for our new venture. So your affiliate links are ok to use. Goodness knows I'd switch in a heartbeat if I found the perfect one at the perfect price.
So what do you use? What do you like and dislike about it? We know that nothing is perfect and weight the pro's and con's is how we find the right fit for us. _________________ Val

I'll start with E-junkie. First things first, I love the price. I can have 10 products for just $5 a month. By the time I get up to the cost of other programs minimum start ($27-$34) I can have 120 products loaded.
It has an autoresponder program for BUYERS, but no way to contact my affiliates. Major con there.
It is very easy to use and copy and paste the code into your sales page for purchasing. The ease of use is a major pro. It walks you right through it and you can even upload the ebook to the program instead of hosting it on your servers. Again easy for those that do not know how to get around in their hosting or use ftp. lol
The con's with E-junkie are in the affiliate area I believe. When my affiliates signed up they didn't even know what their commission was. I need to set up a page to tell them this info and then send them to sign up. Once I set up a % for affiliates, it is across the board for products. I can go in to the affiliate's account and upgrade their percentage if I want though. So top affiliates could be set at a higher % as a thank you for super marketing.
All-in-all, you will not find a better program than E-junkie for the price. After much research it's the best program out there for those on a very limited budget that want to put an electronic product out there with an affiliate program attached. _________________ Val

The second one I'm going to put up is WAHMCart. The major con about this program is the starting price for newbies. It is $29.99 a month. That is not a lot for some of us that have been online a while, but I do market so much to those just starting out and I remember that $29.99 is a huge amount of money. However, that said, I wish I had invested in programs like these ages ago. I would have started making money faster.
This program however, has everything. The major things I wanted were more affiliate things. This program gives me the ability to set different %'s for each product and even for each person. I can set it up so it's tiered. Then when you recruit someone to sell for me, you get a percentage of that as well! The biggest thing is the ability to contact my affiliates. I want to keep them updated on new graphics and sales articles.
One thing that doesn't mean as much to me because I have Aweber is the fact that you can set up autoresponders and newsletter lists. If you haven't a different newsletter program, this is invaluable! You know the money is in the list.
WAHMCart does just about everything you could ask for in a program. It just depends on what level of commitment you are ready to put up or where you are in your biz already. _________________ Val

E-junkie is good for protecting digital deliveries of products, but I would not recommend it for a robust affiliate program.
There's not a way to include any marketing materials for your affiliates and like you said, there isn't a way to contact affiliates.
I've never used Wahmcart, but I am not a fan of server-based, all-in-one solutions that include an autoresponder / cart / etc.
The most important piece is your list and if the server or system goes down, you have no way to access your list in an all-in-one. This is why I don't like 1ShoppingCart.com, either.
I've used 1SC, Idevaffiliate (lousy support), Mals, e-junkie, but my absolute favorite for running a solid affiliate program is...
Jrox JAM I found JAM 2 years ago when I was looking for affiliate tracking software for PattyGaleDesigns.com The software was relatively new at that time, and while it had a lot of features then, it has a ton more features now.
It's a one-time payment for the script, a very easy auto-installer, is hosted on your server and you can run multiple affiliate programs / products within it.
You can add banners, buttons, viral articles, viral pdf's, text links, email tools, you can run a 2-tier (or multiple tier) affiliate program, integrates with just about every shopping cart imaginable, can offer sign-up bonuses to entice affiliates, it is very much a fully featured program and the support from the company is amazing.

I can give you the affiliate point of view if you want! I've had some experience now with e-junkie and jrox jam (the one Patty described). OR maybe that should be for another post?? _________________ Lauren
