I have an online party tip

If you are going to book an online party, you should be on time OR let someone know in advance if you can't make it.

I'm just saying this because today I got a notice from the Mom Chats site that there is a party at 1 Eastern and I went on over but there are people in the room who were having a totally different conversation and there is no rep for the party.

I wonder if the time is correct for the party?

Yep, the time was correct and the idiot missed out. I realize that things happen, but this has happened more often now because we do have such busy rooms.

No showing a party is a sure fire way to get your name remembered. Because everyone will want to remember who NOT to purchase from!

Yep, exactly what I thought!

Heather was helping me out in the chat room because I was in the lobby but there was still no rep for Scentsy. Reps really need to remember this is their name they are promoting by booking online parties. I was there to help by sharing my good Scentsy experience but I wasted a 1/2 hour of my time there.

Hopefully the rep is OK, but for future reference, they really need to make sure to have a back up plan in case something personal happens.

Oh well, I tried Wink

well I did get an email back saying she had to cancel the party because she was sick. Well you didn't cancel the party, you just didn't show up. So off to see if she has any other parties scheduled and take them off.

Another tip:

Treat online parties as you would home parties. You wouldn't NOT call the local hostess if you got sick and had to reschedule would you? Just food for thought Wink

Well I had a time slot for an online party about a month ago and 30 minutes before my time slot we had a bad storm and lost power. I felt so bad, and as soon as the power returned I contacted the party room host and apologized for any inconvenience. I felt just horrible!

Honestly! You would be amazed at how many deaths in the families, and cranky babies have gotten in the way of these hostesses either making it to the party, or remembering all together! Of course, I want to give the benefit of the doubt with anyone who suffers anything like that, and I've been there with the cranky baby....but you're right Angie, treat it as you would an offline party.

I think people don't count them as the same because well, if any guests were there - it's not like they have to trun around and drive home - they are home! LOL! that's NOT how they should think about it though - it is the way they do business, and their name that ends up making the bad impression to those who have taken the time to go to the chatroom and attend. I'd just go to another Rep's party.

Very good points - and perfect to go with our new Cancellation Policy!
