Hi and first of all I agree with the others about a signature line (very important) and also I've tried so many work at home jobs and spent sooo much money and never made it back.. Finally I found something that changed my life and I've signed up 400 people in the 3 months I've been in it... I need to share with the other moms because I feel that it is my duty to help other moms who are not able to work out of the house but are desperate to help feed their kids! Mom who don't even know how to copy and paste are making over $100 a day... so basically what I'm saying is we need a place where WE CAN post ADS because they are NOT all bad!! There is the diamond in the ruff you just have to look for it!! Although it would be a shame if the site doesn't allow the people who found it to share... so let me know. Thank you

For the signature lines ... I'm not sure what you mean when you say:

I'm just not sure what you mean about agreeing with "the others" as you'll see if you take a good look around - pretty much everyone has a signature line. The ones that don't are more than likely those who have stopped in, posted an introduction and have yet to come back - unfortunately, this happens way too often ...

However that said, you do have the opportunity to put in a signature line now. You have to make 2 legitimate posts before you even have the space for available in your profile. This is just one of the measures we've taken to control the spam as well as to stop those who just stop by to make one post, leave their signature line and disappear.

About the ads ... in a perfect world this would work. We had a place here for many years that allowed our members to place advertisements. However it was abused waaaaaaaaay more than it was used properly. We would come here every day to find tons of advertisement posts by people who would sign up as a member, post and ad and disappear.

It was a constant battle just to find the legitimate posts/content every day - even to find non-advertisement posts. I took a vote and every single member who voted, voted to remove the advertising section. That itself spoke volumes to me. My members were so tired of the other advertisements that they were willing to give up the opportunity for free advertising.

In return, we came to an agreement and I put affordable advertising in place. This way those who were serious could pay to have their advertising seen. It became more than obvious that those who were serious about their business and serious about sharing with other members purchases their advertisements spots. Instead of wanting to do nothing more than toss out an ad (those who are looking for a community to belong to rather than a place to leave their advertisement)

I also keep the pricing very low so pretty anyone can afford it and it helps me with the upkeep of the boards.

Anyway - once you become more active here, you'll find that I'm quite the rambling type, lol.

I totally understand wanting to have a place where our members can share their opportunities however, like I said, this only works in a perfect world and my moderartors or myself don't have 24/7 to devote to keeping out the "bad stuff". It is something we had in place for a long time and it was way more work than what it was worth.

Now what's in place is automated, affordable and helps with the upkeep of these boards, it's a win-win-win kind of deal. Between this and all the measures we've taken to control spam - it keeps our community clean and full of quality content.

As far as ads go. We are a unique board. We actually network and get to know each other. If you go to boards that have ad forums you will find that 3/4 of their members only post ads. All it does it take up bandwidth and we want to actually share info. Smile

Hope you'll understand that. If you've searched around the boards a little bit you'll have gotten a feel for that. Smile
