Just so I know we're on the same page here ... are you asking for suggestions to market/advertise your direct sales company?
If so, here are just a couple resources you could look into ...
Direct Sales Company Directory
OnlineShoppingParty.com
MomChats.com
A great resource to learn about managing your direct sales company is www.DirectSalesHelpers.com
There's a few things that might help you out. If you tell us a little more about what you're looking for, I'd be happy to maybe share some more and I'm sure others will share some of their favorite places as well.
Take care,

Hi Anita,
Thanks for responding. Yes, I need help with advertising/marketing, but specifically on the internet. I would really like to get a website started, but I don't know what type of content I should include.
I am a weight loss counselor for belly buster parties. So, I am thinking that maybe I should include some health related stuff. Also I want to of course include information about my business, but Belly Buster does not allow a separate site. I guess what I am really trying to figure out is how do I create my own site around my business and provide good content.
I am not a great writer, so I hope this make sense. If not, please tell me.

Having your own website is the absolute best way to start. However, I'm a bit confused. You say you want to have a site but you also said:
| Quote: | | Also I want to of course include information about my business, but Belly Buster does not allow a separate site. |
Can you clarify a bit?
As far as the content goes ... including health related content is a very good idea ... matches your business perfectly.
I took a quick peek at your blog and do realize how much of a great start you're off to? I realize you only have two posts but your most recent post is an excellent start and so on the right track.
We have a couple other members here you may be interested in getting to know a little more closely. One is Val Selby and the other is Angie Newton. They both have sites that you may be interested in. Let me dig up their info for you and I'll reply here again.
Take care,

Without knowing all the details ...
If you're able to do it ... what I would personally be doing is creating a "health site" of some kind but I would make sure I focused on a small niche within the whole "health field". Too many times we try to make our sites "fit everyone" and end up with too wide of a topic. Focusing on a smaller or "micro niche" often ends up being much more successful. Then I would continue with the blog but I would use the blog to journal my own personal experiences with your company.
Speaking of your company ... is this a fairly new company? I had never heard of this company until maybe a couple weeks ago when I started my vendor fair and I had a vendor from Belly Buster's sign up and now this is the second time I've heard of them. Just curious ...
And one more thing while I'm thinking about it ... Another great resource for you is my ebook, Kickstart Your Online Business. That should really come in handy for you
Take care,

Yep use your blog to build a site. For now the blogger will do, but I'd switch to a self hosted program down the road.
Anita, belly buster has been around for a little while now. I know I was looking at it, I just can't fork out any more income right now. It's a great looking program and I am still interested in adding it. Anytime I can add more products to sell to my training clients I'm a happy girl. _________________ Val

I second the moving to a hosted program down the road - very big second. Actually, I'll say what I know Val was thinking but didn't say ... Wordpress
And hmm ... that's funny I was just curious because it just seemed like I'd never heard of the company and then all of the sudden met two who were involved with them in such a short period of time ... small world I guess, lol!
Take care,

When I said "Also I want to of course include information about my business, but Belly Buster does not allow a separate site." I was trying to explain that I want to use a personal site to gather leads for my belly buster business. However, Belly Buster does not allow distributors to have a personal belly buster site. I am trying to figure out how to create a site that I can use for my belly buster business and maybe even some affiliate marketing without breaking belly buster rules.
Thanks for your help!

Many companies won't let you have a site that is specific to their company. That is how so many blogs started. So you keep creating your blog/site as you are. Add a newsletter list that says something like, "find out more info about weightloss program". Then you have a list of people that are interested. I recommend giving away an ebook or something for free with your newsletter sign up, but that is getting ahead of you. lol
If your site/blog is about weight loss then it is not belly busters issue at all. You can include any links to your site for them to order and especially any buttons or banners they give you to advertise with.
BTW, I sent you a PM today. _________________ Val

Hi BusyMomma
Do you mind giving me some success tips on how you got your health and fitness business up and running?
I would like to to find clients on the internet until my son get a little older. Then I will branch out more toward doctor offices and gyms.
Any Advice?

Well I cheated. I went to school and got my personal training degree and am a certified trainer. So I deal with this literally on a daily basis and I get to use questions I get asked for articles and such.
My website was a side thing that happened when I went to school. I was bursting with information and couldn't believe how much info we do not know about ourselves. So I wanted to share the info I was learning. lol
After that the site and blog have been up for 3 years now I think. It's constantly evolving. I have so much more I want to do with it. lol I do use some PLR for articles as well that I rewrite. One that is VERY GOOD isAll Health PLR .
I'm always for hire to write unique articles and I'm working on some reprint articles that can be used for free as well. I have tons of articles in notebooks, they just need to get typed up. _________________ Val

Thanks for sharing my info, Anita
Nice to meet you, Vonda. We will be happy to help you as much as possible. Feel free to check out my weight loss/fitness journal (link in signature line) to see what type of things I post about. I'm new to blogging in this niche and am learning as I go. There is a lot to learn about Internet/Affiliate Marketing so don't get overwhelmed. One step at a time
I have been starting to do reviews on my personal blog and will be doing them on my weight loss/fitness one as well. If you would like for me to review any of your products for feedback and promotion on my blog, let's touch base and maybe we can help each other.
The other thing I wanted to mention is that stories sell so be sure to share your progress on your blog and just be you. Write reviews about your products and also connect with other bloggers in your niche by commenting on their blogs.
Those are just a few tips for today. _________________ ~Angie~

A micro niche is simply a smaller topic amongst a much larger one. Let's take Online Marketing for example. Instead of writing about just online marketing, a micro niche would be affiliate marketing which of course is just one small aspect of online marketing in general.
However, perhaps I should let those who are already in the field tackle this topic. What do you think girls? When it comes to the health/fitness industry ... is it better to tackle tackle it on a whole or do you think it's better to find a smaller niche within?
Take care,

Well her products automatically put her into the weight loss niche. Adding a little fitness here and there would be normal, but she's already leaned towards weight loss. Which in itself is a big topic.
Focusing on the body wraps would be cool too. How they work and your experience with them would be an excellent topic. _________________ Val

Vonda,
I'll check out your blog soon. Just wanted to give you an idea about a micro niche. My niche is the 30 ish woman who is desperately seeking to lose a lot of weight, 100+ pounds. That is a pretty tight niche however I will be helping anyone who wants to lose weight not just that niche but that my focus.
I agree with Val on the wraps. You don't see those around much so it's a great focus. _________________ ~Angie~

First of all, I would like to say thanks for all the great feedback. You all have been wonderful.
I think I found a niche for my weight loss business. I would like to target families who have obesity problems. The reason I chose this niche is because so many children are developing diabetes. I figure if I can help the parents learn healthier eating habits, the children can possibly avoid illnesses such as diabetes.
Tell me what you think? _________________ Lose 3-5 lbs A Week!

Definitely a hot topic. So are you going to focus on childhood eating and fitness habits to teach parents? Is that how I'm reading that? It's a good niche and exactly what we were suggesting. _________________ Val
