YAY - YAY - YAY!! Today is the first day of school and I'm soooo glad! I actually love having my kids home all summer long ... and I'm sort of bummed it's over. However, OH I so needed a break from my kids. I was definitely ready for them to head back to school. They've been driving me crazy for a while now with all their nit picking and being bored ... Mainly, I'm so happy to be back to a regular work schedule with more uninterupted work time.

It gets even better for me today though ... hubby is out on two jobs! I love him being home all the time too ... however, I needed a break from him too, rofl! Since he's started this new business, I've been thrilled he's been home. However, I'll be happy when he has more jobs to do a little more on a regular basis ... just so he can get out every once in a while. I'm sure deep down he feels the same way, lol!

Anyway - I'm home ALL ALONE today and I am in heaven! I'll be at the Beat the Summer Heat Vendor Fair all day long if you want to join me!

We start next Tuesday and I'm going to hate getting up so much. But, I'm glad we will get on a regular schedule and I'm looking forward to them being there so I can get more work done without the guilt of them being home wanting my attention.

My girls both started Monday... Jill a freshman in high school and Becca a freshman in college....

Both their days went smoothly... Jill loves her new teachers and said they all seem to be very upbeat and motivating... not boring like some of the teachers she had last year! Laughing

So far, high school is good.

Becca is having sticker shock over the price of the art supplies she needs for two of her classes.... she has to have over $400 worth of art supplies Shocked

granted, she doesn't need books for those classes and at over $100 a book, that's a good thing, but wow, those supplies better last! lol!

Wow! I can't believe how fast this summer flew by.

School here for most kids starts next week. So, most of Emily's neighborhood friends will be in school. She's not starting until we get out to Colorado, so next week is going to be a long week.

Mine started the end of summer bickering and argueing today. I guess I will be thankful that it is this late in the summer. lol It's gonna be a long weekend!
