Hello - I am rather new to this site and have a question.

I am an Usborne Consultant and i've noticed that you already have a Ubah consultant listed. Can I have a online party with you? I've never
done one - but would like to give it a try & do a fundraiser for our local Food Bank's new literacy program.

I have noticed that the Usborne Consultant doesn't seem to do much on the site - I don't know if that makes a difference.

Thanks so much! Tina

Are you referring to Mom Chats? That is actually not "technically" affiliated with here. Smile Since Anita, Lauren and I do so many joint efforts it all gets a little blurry though. Laughing

Everyone can use our chat rooms. We just only allow one consultant/rep per company for the page advertising, so she does have that tied up until sometime next year

All the information to schedule your chat or party are on that link. If you have any questions you can hit me at val @ momchats.com Just remove the spaces in the email address there. Smile

Hi Tina!

I have a feeling you're probably talking about the announcement I sent out today about www.OnlineShoppingParty.com ?

I'll try to clear this up a bit - hopefully I'm thinking correctly, lol!

If you ARE talking about the announcement today ...

We do not currently have an Usborne rep with us yet so yes, you can join us (as of right now but I can't guarantee how long that will be open).

If you want to join us, please check our Vendor page here:
http://onlineshoppingparty.com/our-vendors/
and make sure there is an opening in either the Vendor Blender One or Vendor Blender Two. If Usborne is listed twice then I'm sorry, we don't have anymore openings.

If there is an opening, you can sign up here:
http://onlineshoppingparty.com/become-a-vendor/

As far as whether or not the rep HERE on the boards is active or not doesn't really affect this at all. Wink

If this isn't what you're looking for or have other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Take care,
Anita Razz

Hi Anita and everyone -

I was originally talking about MomChats. The Vendor Blender party sounds interesting also though. (I didn't get an announcement sent to me about it - until I got a private message from Anita)

When are the vendor parties being held?

I haven't a clue how to hold an online party - I wouldn't have a problem doing a couple of giveaways. I also need to put some money on a CC to sign up.

What exactly happens during an online party - is there a post that talks about how to hold one? Also, I'm kind of limited as to when I can host 45 minutes. (During lunch @ work or from 6:30 to 7:30 at the library)

Thanks - Tina

OK - I jumped the gun a little - I found the dates. =0) And it looks like we can almost choose the time we want as of at this time. You have 4 events planned too? Is it $20 per day or $20 for as many days as we want to book. (I'm guessing it's per day)

Oops! Well - you still have to plan a date some time at MomChats for an online party too! lol! (You'll love partying so much that you'll want to anyway!!) I definitely didn't mean to take you away from Val & Lauren!

Now I'm gonna throw another wrench in here ... remember how Val said about our businesses blurring together? LOL! Well ... here ya go, the event is actually held at www.MomChats.com. The site hosting all of this is www.OnlineShoppingParty.com but we hold all of our events at the best chat room around Wink Make sense?

No worries there. I've put some material together and FAQs that all vendors get. You will know what you're doing before the event. If you have a question that is not answered on the material, I'm only an email away. Wink

An online party and a vendor event are similar in many ways but different. Vendor fairs are usually on a much larger scale because you now have the person putting it together (me) promoting it as well as every other vendor too.

With an online party, you are the only person holding the party. With an event, there are many people holding parties - each having their own time slot.

It's held in a chat room. The vendor types in their presentation - which is usually a little about themselves, the company, the biz opp and the products they offer. You include links to your site so the guests can go buy. You usually offer a special just for the event and you usually play a game. Actually - the vendor usually pre-types the presentation up and then copies and pastes it into the chat room.

Hmm ... I've answered this question so many times ... I really think I need to write an article.

For the most part yes. There's no way I can guarantee everyone will get the exact time they need. I think that would take a miracle, lol - but yes, I do try my hardest to get as close as possible Wink

There is two events planned.

Fall Vendor Blender One
September 17th & 18th
10:00 AM EST to 10:00 PM EST

... and ...

Fall Vendor Blender Two
September 24th & 25th
10:00 AM EST to 10:00 PM EST

You could if you wanted buy a spot for each day (providing the company is not already taken) and it would be $20 a day (basically $20 per slot).

However, there is only allowed one rep per company, per event.

In other words, let's say you wanted to do a presentation on the 17th & the 18th. You could do this. However, you couldn't do one on the 17th and another rep do one on the 18th. (Unless you worked something out with another rep before hand.)

Hope that makes sense cause I just stumbled my way through it, lol!

As of right this moment ... you're still good. Wink We don't currently have a Usborne rep listed.

If you have any more questions - please don't hesitate to ask!

Take care,
Anita Razz

We still have spots in our Always Remember 9/11 Shopping Event this thursday. Or if you just want to come and hang out and see what it's like you can see the schedule. Attending someone else's really makes you more comfortable at your own.

Mom Chats has parties and chats going just about 24/7. There are lots of Moms just hanging out in the middle of the night chatting now. Smile

Well, I set up my first online party. It's on my personal website at Usborne Books & I posted the announcement on the Online Parties forum on this site - the link is there.

I would have done it at MomChats - but you need a 1 week notice. So, depending on how it goes on the Usborne website - I may use that next time. I may do on on MomChats and Usborne - I think I can get more 'advertising' that way.

Anyway, I hope you all can make it. I copied all the good tips on this site to my flashdrive and I'll read them over at home as i have time.

Thanks again for all your help! Tina

Thanks you guys, and thanks for signing up Peggy. It will be fun! I'm looking forward to seeing how much we can generate. If it's a decent amount maybe we'll consider it a few times a year for charity.

Opportunities these days are looking for investments at any level. A simple loan can be taken to finance the money for the investment. One of the better options out there is stock trading, the margins are high and the business is successful. Another one is real estate investment, for which one can get a mortgage refinance services to get a lower interest rate loan. Other small opportunities are providing insurances like cheap car insurance or supplying services in the finance sector like merchant credit services.
