Pick One Thing for Next Week

Before the weekend runs away from us, I wanted to put a bug in everyone's head. I know tomorrow is the superbowl so many of us will be busy with parties and the game.

Pick one major thing that you will focus on next week to build your business.

For me I am going to pick my newsletters. It's still the beginning of the month and I need to get them all out. So sending out newsletters to all of my lists will be my main focus.

Secondary focus is going to be about building a couple of the lists up more.

So what is your pick for next week? Not your full to do list, but the one main thing that MUST be done for business growth next week?

I need to push hard to get my upcoming new site launched. I have a big to do list for this site (cause I keep coming up with more and more ideas of things to add for the launch - ugh!) ... but since you only want one ... I'll have to say I need to:

Get more of my info products completed. I have many giveaway reports/ebooks and "for sale" reports/ebooks that are oh so very close to being completed. So, I need to get them completed. And well, you may consider this as another thing but ... get them up on the site and sales pages ready to go too.

So maybe I need to change that to Get Ebooks/Reports completely ready for launch Very Happy

I have an interview that I did with Tosca Reno from The Eat Clean diet books that I need to get on the blog next week plus a giveaway for her new book and link back to my review page of her products on my website. That will keep me busy this week!

Anita, number your ebooks and reports in the order they MUST get put up. Then focus on one each day. It won't take you as long if you break it down.

LOL! Yeah - you have an excuse. Wink

Actually, those two reports were about 99.9% done yesterday. I put the final touches on them this morning.

Oh and speaking of which ... most of these reports ARE very close to being finished. Just tweaking, editing, adding, etc. So please don't anyone think I'm writing these reports in a day! lol!

... and now it's time for another ...

Update: Two reports from this morning are uploaded and sent out to review team. Two more reports are completed ready for uploading after I get back from picking up my kids from the bus stop.

If the school would just get on the ball and cancel school for tomorrow already (like every other surrounding county) then I'd say they'll definitely be uploaded and I'll be starting on the next two this evening. We'll see how it goes from here.

And one more tidbit about these reports. As you can tell they're coming in twos. The first one is a "mini giveaway report" that (hopefully will) entice readers to buy the second more in-depth report. The mini reports are about 10 - 15 pages. The more in-depth ones are more like ebooks roughly around 35 - 45 pages.

Off to get my kiddos!

Glad to hear they are uploaded as well! Now how about the sales pages? Get them done before you move on!

Working on not getting distracted. lol I emailed you why Anita. Sometimes things fall into place, but you have to set them aside for a bit. arghhh

Newsletters, newsletters, newsletters gotta focus on what I said. Almost done with all of these vacation emails.

Yep - got your email. I'm a bit behind on my emails but that's because I haven't checked it 20 times today. I've stayed very focused on the reports only.

Yep, sometimes you just have to set things aside and go with the flow ... no sense in fighting it.

Sales pages, yes. I was doing them all individually ... finish reports, upload and do sales pages. I've changed things around a bit now and I'm working more towards one "kind of thing" at a time. Meaning, now I'm doing a bunch of the reports ... then I'll do a bunch of the sales pages together.

Besides, another reason this works out is so I can get the reports off to my review team and they'll have more to review.

2 newsletters out. I am making them very quick from now on. Time to change it up and see if that helps with click-thru's Wink

So one more to go and then helpful blurbs and articles to get to Lauren for our Mom Chats newsletter. She's in charge of it but I really like to try and remember to help by sending her a supply of things she can pull from.

Then tomorrow the plan is to work on the project I've been wanting to get up and rolling for months now. So much of it is even typed out, just needs to make it into wp pages and posts! woohoo It's a part of things I'm already doing, this is just a site that specifies the niche more Wink

OK, I have done 4 blog posts and all are scheduled. Working this week to get stuff ready to do taxes so blogging is about all I'm getting done other than my VA work which is definitely top priority.

Val, I have the 1st post up with the Tosca Reno Eat Clean Diet interview and Day 2 will be tomorrow, then a few others over the next few days.

Alright, done with newsletters. Also from now on the last week of the month will be newsletter focus week. That way I'm working ahead instead of by the skin of my teeth and feeling behind.

Now on to blog posts and that project I'm so excited about!

I focused on getting a theme for wordpress finished and tweaked to upload for sale this week on Jensen's Designs. Finished the tweaking tonight and will have it up tomorrow just don't have the energy to make a sales page tonight.

I need to get another few blog posts from notebook to actual blog and scheduled.

I don't feel as productive as I usually do with this new scheduled hours...and I am up 2 hours past the time I've been going to bed trying to get the night owl oils burning and THAT isn't working cause I am outta energy & feeling a bit cross eyed.

After writing what I have gotten done...not to shabby I guess...doesn't seem like much but for the amount of written notebook notes I have quite a few blog posts,,,

Yesterday wasn't quite as good as the other days but I did get some things done. Having everyone home just isn't good for mom's work day, lol! I think they all forgot what it was like over the summer ... and mom's biz hours. Today is a little different. Hubby at least went back to work but the kiddos are still home. Between me and you ladies ... I'll be you any amount of money that I get more work done w/ just the kids home instead of daddy and kids being home. Hmmm ... that should tell ya something!

Anyway ... for a bit of an update:

I had made a post on 2Wahms (Nothing but Work) that kind of coincided with what we're doing here. I went into a bit more detail about some more things I wanted touch on this week (instead of just one).

- I need to get in touch with some people about guest blogging. The guest blogging bit has a very large part in the launch of this new site. I now have 5 yeses. This is awesome for what I'm doing but ... I need just a couple more that I need to contact.

- I mentioned this a bit above but as I get these reports finished, I need to get them out to my review team. So far I have a total of 6 of the reports completely finished and uploaded and my review team has received 4 of them. I also have a handful of the reviews/testimonials back.

So today is:

- Finishing up report #'s 7 & 8
- Getting report #'s 5 & 6 out to review team.

And if I'm really lucky ... getting as far as possible through report #'s 9 & 10!

Off to work! Will update later Very Happy
